Nelson Perez-Jacome is a Civil Engineer who, throughout his career; has gained an intimate knowledge of the procurement, design, permitting, and construction of large scale water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
He has 7 years of experience in the civil engineering & construction sector, with a focus on water resources projects. Mr. Perez-Jacome has provided engineering consulting services to a wide range of clients, including: Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department (MDWASD), City of Miami Beach (CMB), City of Hialeah, City of Homestead, City of North Miami Beach (CNMB), Town of Medley, and Broward County Water & Wastewater Services (BCWWS). He has worked on a myriad of pump stations, force mains, water mains, sanitary sewer collection systems, and stormwater management systems; providing design and construction management services.
Mr. Perez-Jacome is actively involved in the local engineering community, serving as the Vice-President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Secretary of the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers (CAACE), and the Young Professionals chair of the American Water Works Association Florida Section (FSAWWA). He has received multiple professional accolades including: the CAACE 2013 Young Engineer of the Year Award and the FSAWWA Region VII 2013 Volunteer of the Year Award.
Mr. Perez-Jacome obtained a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida International University and a Masters of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Sciences with a Specialization in Water, Wastewater, & Stormwater from the University of Florida. He is currently employed by Hazen and Sawyer where he actively pursues government solicitations and works in the design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
