Young Engineer of the Year
Recognizing outstanding young engineers for professional achievement, service, and dedication to C-AACE.
About the Award
The Young Engineer of the Year Award recognizes a C-AACE member who has contributed substantially to the status of the engineering profession through professional accomplishments, service, leadership, and community involvement.
Nominees must be members of C-AACE and less than 35 years of age on January 1 of the year in which the award is given.

Selection Criteria
- Service to the profession. An established reputation for service to C-AACE and other engineering organizations.
- Character and integrity. Personal character, integrity, and a public image above reproach.
- Community involvement. An established reputation for civic, community, and public activities and responsibilities.
- Civil engineering education. Significant contributions toward improving the professional aspects of civil engineering education.
- Mentorship and professional development. Participation in guiding qualified young people who seek civil engineering as a career and supporting the professional development of engineers in the formative stages of their careers, or other evidence of merit that, in the judgment of the Awards Committee, advances the Association's professional objectives.
- Technical achievement. Achievements and distinction in the nominee's chosen technical field and area of practice, including government, education, industry, and private practice.
