Ernesto Fernandez, P.E
President, Cuban American Association of Civil Engineers
Ernesto Fernandez was born in Havana, Cuba and migrated to Miami at the age of 19. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida International University and is pursuing his Master’s Degree in construction management. Mr. Fernandez has over 4 years of experience in the civil engineering & construction for private and public sectors with a focus on water, wastewater, water resources and stormwater projects. He has worked on various pump stations, water mains, and force mains, and accomplished several technical reports. He has expertise on all stages of design and construction practices and has lead construction management operations for several capital improvement projects for Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department (MDWASD).
He currently serves as an Engineer at CES Consultants based in Miami where his is part of a growing team of engineer professionals and continues to design multiple improvement projects. Prior to joining the CES, Ernesto worked at Ardurra where he developed his enthusiasm for water and environmental field. Mr. Fernandez is an active member of the Cuban American Association of Civil Engineers (CAACE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
