Ernesto Fernandez, P.E.

Vice-Treasurer

Ernesto Fernandez, P.E. was born in Havana, Cuba, and migrated to Miami at the age of 19. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida International University and is pursuing his Master's Degree in Construction Management.

Mr. Fernandez has over four years of experience in civil engineering and construction for both the private and public sectors, with a focus on water, wastewater, water resources, and stormwater projects.

He has worked on various pump stations, water mains, and force mains and has completed several technical reports. He has experience across all stages of design and construction practices and has led construction management operations for several capital improvement projects for the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department (MDWASD).

He is currently a Deputy Project Manager at CES Consultants, based out of Miami, where he is part of a growing team of engineering professionals and continues to work on the design of multiple improvement projects.

Prior to joining CES Consultants, Ernesto worked at Ardurra, where he developed his enthusiasm for the water and environmental field.

Mr. Fernandez is an active member of the Cuban American Association of Civil Engineers (CAACE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), reflecting his continued involvement in the civil engineering profession and professional community.
